Year 1

The children have really settled in to their new classroom environment.  In Year 1 the subjects they will learn are:

In Year 1 the children’s learning is further enhanced through continuous provision both indoors and outdoors.  The children embrace a challenge especially in the Creative Area, Maths Zone, Role Play, Construction and Writing Area’s.  Our class library is an enjoyable area where the children like to choose a book of their choice, read and relax.   

Key Information

• Our PE Day is Monday. Children should come to school on this day in their school PE kit.
• Reading books are changed weekly on Fridays. Children are also given further reading challenges through oxfordowl.co.uk.
• Homework is given on Fridays. Work is shared via Seesaw.
