At Knowsley Village Primary School we aim to promote healthy, independent and responsible members of society. We encourage all our pupils to play a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community through class & school councils, fundraising events, supporting charities and involvement in community activities. Our pupils are given opportunities in lessons (incorporating PSHE & RSE, KAPOW) and assemblies to develop confidence, self-motivation and an understanding of their rights and responsibilities within our diverse society.
We are pleased to have achieved the Gold award for Health for Schools.
At the start of each year parents are invited to join a ‘Meet the Teacher’ meeting where the RSE/PSHE curriculum is discussed and consulted upon. Meetings to discuss the RSE/PSHE in more detail are welcomed by appointment.
